Kim's centaur anatomy

during the writing of a section of my story I realized that I was spending an inordinate amount of time describing a visual representation of Kim and her new centaur biology. so instead of boring the reader I thought i'd actually make it. After all a picture tells a thousand words.

the following is the logic I went through to derive the placement of organs in this image.

I considered that the human chest would still have to contain something, on the inside otherwise it would be a huge protected area filled with nothing. The only things I could think to move there were the heart and liver, and both could / would be much bigger for a centaur than a human... so I thought it at least reasonably believable.

lungs in the human tauso would be woefully insufficient, and thus they need to be in the equine chest cavity.  which provides the needed lung capacity, protection and structural support.

the stomach could not be in the human parts, not even as a secondary stomach, because that would put the lungs at constant risk of damage from stomach acid leaking down the esophagus down into the lungs. (not good)

Additionally the upper and lower intestines need to be between the stomach and the anus.  so they have to go in the equine half.
